What Tesla accessories are actually worth buying?
Most accessories are optional. A few earn their spot because the car is hard on floors, glass, and charge ports. The rest is catalog noise — especially anything titled “fits all 2017–2026 Model 3/Y.”
Worth it, if the SKU matches the car
Floor mats. The carpet is the expensive part. Buy the generation’s #1 on mats — 3W Thorex (Juniper Prem/Perf), TuxMat (legacy Y), 3D MAXpider (Highland 3), TuxMat (2017–23 3). Tesla Shop liners if OEM-like fit matters more than a one-box cargo kit.
Screen protector. Cheap, tray-aligned, size-specific. 15.4" is not 15" is not Juniper Standard 16". See screen.
J1772 adapter. If you did not get Tesla’s, Lectron is the ranked third-party pick. AC only. Charging.
Jack pads. One of the few “insurance” buys that is not a vibe. Roadside.
Sometimes worth it
Console trays, mudflaps, roof shades, sill guards, under-seat bins, cargo liners. Useful when the job is real (slush, sun, kids, gravel). Each of those has a generation split on this site. Usually skip
Anything that needs a harness splice for a party trick. “Bioweapon HEPA” cabin-filter marketing — the car takes two stacked footwell filters; that is filters, not Tesla’s larger HEPA pack. Aftermarket pet hammocks when Tesla Shop already sells the S/3/Y liner. A Model 3 mattress in a Y, or the reverse — Snuuzu is two SKUs on purpose.
