What Tesla accessories are actually worth buying?
Most accessories are optional. A few earn their spot because the car is hard on floors, glass, and charge ports. The rest is catalog noise — especially anything titled “fits all 2017–2026 Model 3/Y.”

Worth it, if the SKU matches the car
Floor mats — worth it. The carpet is the expensive part. Buy the generation’s #1 on mats — 3W Thorex (Juniper Prem/Perf), TuxMat (2020–2024), 3D MAXpider (Highland 3), TuxMat (2017–23 3). Tesla Shop liners if OEM-like fit matters more than a one-box cargo kit. OEM vs 3W.
Screen protector — worth it. Cheap, tray-aligned, size-specific. 15" is not 15.4" is not 16". See screen.
J1772 Adapter ✓ Included with your Tesla. Check the car before buying another. If yours is missing, see charging.
Jack pads — worth it. One of the few “insurance” buys that is not a vibe. You need the right puck size if you jack the car; you do not need a spare. Roadside · Are jack pucks necessary?
Sometimes worth it
Depends. Console trays, mudflaps, roof shades, sill guards, under-seat bins, cargo liners. A screen swivel is comfort, not required. Sentry storage if you use Sentry a lot — glovebox data port, not a 10/10. Useful when the job is real (slush, sun, kids, gravel). Each of those has a generation split on this site. Camping mattress — sometimes. Snuuzu Y is 3YList Owned & Tested and #1 on camping if you camp or road-trip often. $899 is not Best Value for a couple of overnights a year. Full review.

Usually skip
Skip. Anything that needs a harness splice for a party trick. “Bioweapon HEPA” cabin-filter marketing — the car takes two stacked footwell filters; that is filters, not Tesla’s larger HEPA pack. Aftermarket pet hammocks when Tesla Shop already sells the S/3/Y liner. A Model 3 mattress in a Y, or the reverse — Snuuzu is two SKUs on purpose.
