Is a Tesla roof sunshade worth it?
Yes if the glass cooks the cabin and you park in sun. No if you do not care about heat soak. Buy the shade cut for that generation’s glass — there is no universal 3/Y kit.

The job is heat, not looks
Tesla glass roofs load the cabin. A shade cuts the soak. It is optional. Skip it if you garage the car or do not mind the heat. It is not a window tint and it is not a crash part.
Glass is generation-locked
A Juniper Y shade will not fit Highland 3. A Highland 3 shade will not fit Juniper Y. Pre-Juniper Y is its own cut. 2017–20 Model 3 is KUNIST; 2021–23 Model 3 is a different kit from Highland. Listings that say they fit every 3 and Y from 2017 through 2026 are usually wrong.
Y L glass is a different cut from the 5-seat Model Y. We have not listed a Y L shade yet.
Where to buy
The ranked shades live on sunshade by generation — VION Highland, VION 2021–23 3, Sovtekr Juniper, graphene 2-pc for pre-Juniper Y, KUNIST for 2017–20 Model 3. We did not split those into extra landing pages; the glass splits are already on that ranking.
