At the lot.
- Tesla may require accepting delivery in the Tesla app before vehicle access. Inspect as soon as you have access and before driving away when practical.
- Verify the SAE J1772 adapter is present. Tesla currently includes one, usually in the frunk.
- Charging equipment is not universal. Do not assume a Mobile Connector is in the car.
Pick your car first if you can. The universal checks still apply. Generation items (screen size, trunk vs hatch, Model Y L third row) appear after you save a Tesla. Pick your Tesla.

Pick your Tesla
Choose your Tesla and the checklist follows that car.
Your Tesla:
Step 1 — Model
Step 2 — Year
Step 3 — Original or Juniper?
US Juniper deliveries started March 2025. A 2025 Y can be original body or Juniper.
Step 3 — Model Y or Model Y L?
Model Y L is the longer six-seat version. Some accessories need a Y L-specific cut.
Step 3 — Trim
Standard is a different interior kit than Premium / Performance. Premium and Performance use the same kits until a product actually splits.
