I bought a Tesla and got tired of bouncing between Reddit, Facebook, YouTube, Amazon, and Tesla forums trying to figure out which accessories actually fit and which ones were worth buying. So I built the site I wished existed.
3YList researches Tesla Model 3 and Model Y accessories by generation. Rankings may combine firsthand testing with research. Owned & Tested is labeled when it applies. Affiliate status does not determine rank.
Model Y L is the longer six-seat version — some kits need a Y L cut. Fitment by generation.

How we rank
3YList is built to make choosing the right Tesla accessories easier. Every recommendation is researched for fitment, quality, usefulness, owner feedback, and value before it earns a spot on the list.
I don’t personally own every product I recommend, so I make that distinction clear.
Owned & Tested
Products marked “3YList Owned & Tested” (the Owned & Tested badge) are products I personally own and use. See the full list on Owned & Tested.
For those products, rankings can include firsthand experience with installation, fitment, build quality, daily use, durability, and anything I liked or didn’t like.
Research / Also / Pick cards are evidence-ranked — not firsthand. A product does not need to be Owned & Tested to rank #1. If fitment, research, and owner feedback support it, it can still earn the top spot.
Card images and internal photo flags are not an Owned claim. Only the visible Owned & Tested badge means firsthand.

Products are ranked based on which option I believe is best for the buyer, not which brand pays the highest commission.
How rankings work
The #1, #2, #3 order represents 3YList’s recommendation order, not a numerical score.
Each product can also have an Evidence Strength rating showing how much confidence there is behind the recommendation:
- Very Strong — extensive supporting evidence and/or firsthand use
- Strong — solid fitment data, owner feedback, and product research
- Moderate — good supporting information, but less long-term evidence
- Limited — promising product with less available real-world data
Today’s qualitative ranking
Four things, in this order. This is how cards are ordered now. It is not a 0–100 score.
1. Fitment
If it doesn’t fit the body, nothing else matters. Kits are generation-specific. “Fits all 2017–2026” is usually wrong. Current Model Y Standard often needs a different kit than Premium. What actually changes.
2. Install
Can a normal owner do it without a lift, a harness splice, or a YouTube rabbit hole? Alignment trays, clip-in organizers, and drop-in mats beat anything that wants you to peel the dash. Hard install is a penalty, not a personality.
3. Durability
Will it still look and work after a winter of salt, a summer of heat, and daily use? Review volume and real SKUs beat a pretty listing with twelve five-star writeups that all arrived the same week. We note when a product is new and the sample is thin.
4. Value
Price last, not first. Cheap is fine when the product is right. Expensive is fine when fitment and durability earn it. We would rather send you to Tesla Shop or a brand’s own site, with no commission, than rank a worse Amazon option because it pays.
