Best accessories for a new Tesla owner

The useful first week is short: floor, screen, a place for the phone, and a way to charge away from a Supercharger. Everything else can wait until you know the car.

Pick your year first. A 2026 Juniper Y, a 2022 Y, a Highland 3, and a 2019 Model 3 do not share floor mats, sunshades, or most consoles. Garage saves the car, then Your 3Y List shows the current #1 for that generation only.

Start with fitment, not a bundle

Listings that say they fit every 3 and Y from 2017 through 2026 are usually wrong. This site splits four generations: 2017–23 Model 3, Highland 3 (2024–26), legacy Y (2020–early 2025), and Juniper Y (2025–26). Juniper Standard is often a different interior kit than Premium / Performance. That caveat stays on the cards.

The first four, in order

  1. Floor mats. The floor is generation-locked. Juniper Premium/Performance #1 on this site is the 3W Thorex full set. Legacy Y #1 is TuxMat. Highland 3 #1 is 3D MAXpider. 2017–23 Model 3 #1 is TuxMat. Tesla Shop liners exist if you want OEM-like fit and will pay for a floor-only set.
  2. Screen protector. Size is the whole game. Highland 3 and Juniper Premium use 15.4" (Spigen EZ Fit). Pre-refresh 3 and Y use 15". Juniper Standard is the 16" fork — do not buy the 15.4" tray for that car.
  3. J1772 adapter. If the car did not come with Tesla’s OEM J1772 → NACS adapter, the ranked third-party pick is Lectron (UL 2252, AC only). It is not a DC / Supercharger / CCS adapter.
  4. Phone mount. Highland 3 and Juniper have a verified dash-gap clip (YONZEE). Legacy 3 and legacy Y still do not — MagBak is a tape-on bezel charger, not a dash-gap clip. We leave that hole empty rather than borrow the wrong clip.

After a month, if you still want them

Console trays (Wigoo on Highland / Juniper Premium; Spigen on late-legacy 3/Y). Mudflaps if you park in slush. Roof shade if the glass cooks the cabin. Sill protectors if you care about the paint on the door step. None of those are day-one required.

How we rank. Fitment first, then install, durability, value. We don’t take free units. We do not claim hands-on testing of every SKU. Method.
